We’ve Been Using the WRONG Hydraulic Press Tool for 10 Years - BQza - современный видеохостинг

We may have been using the wrong hydraulic press tool for the last 10 years.

In this video we test different hydraulic press tool shapes to find out which one crushes and explodes things best with a 300 ton hydraulic press. We compare the normal flat tool against new custom shapes like a dome tool, conical tool and ridged tool to see how tool shape changes pressure, deformation and explosions.

Some materials clearly behave very differently depending on the tool. Books, paper, plastic and aluminium all react in their own way, and some of the results were honestly surprising. One tool makes explosions happen much easier, while another creates really weird but satisfying shapes.

If you have ever wondered whether the shape of a hydraulic press tool matters, this is the test.

Tools tested in this video:

Flat tool
Dome tool
Conical tool
Ridged tool
